物：各國 2015 年向 PCT 申請專利總計高達 218,000 筆，較前年增加了 1.7% 再創新高，美國蟬連了申請最多專利數的國家多達 38 年的時間。

美國專利申請數目世界第一

美國除了在專利申請維持領先，向Madrid System 申請的國際商標及向 Hague system申請的工業設計數目也是第一。上述 3 組織皆隸屬於WIPO。

中國廠商崛起

依產業類別申請數目區分，通訊產業獨得鰲頭。中國廠商華為以 3,898 筆連兩年奪冠（2015年多增加了456筆），緊追在後的是高通（共 2,442 筆）和中興（共 2,155 筆）。若依各學校申請比例來看，中國的清華大學也躍升至世界第八。

金融科技（FinTech）專利公聽會

人：國泰世華、永豐、台北富邦、兆豐、一銀等五家銀行，還有證交所、IBM、資誠會計師事務所以及喬美國際等公司。

物：近年很多國家都注重申請金融科技專利，像Visa已經擁有1,324件專利，韓國的新韓銀行也有超過907件，相較下，台灣各金融機構的金融專利數量少得可憐，總共只有20幾項，品質內容也較國際型的專利不足。

摘要：

「廣義型」的FinTech專利共5,245件，台灣企業的申請數占八成、4,216件，但在核心的「支付架構類、金融保險類」兩類，各只有311件、255件，顯示台灣金融業者在「主戰場」的布局相對弱勢。

摘要：

智能穿戴越來越受歡迎，但日前不少智能手錶都很容易遭受黑客的攻擊。當用戶對三星智能手錶進行初始設置時，其內置的紅外感測器能掃描捕獲靜脈圖像並進行存儲。當用戶需要驗證身份時，可通過一感測器掃描一張全新的靜脈圖像並與之前儲存的那張進行對比，來確認用戶是否被允許使用某些特定的功能。

A user may be authenticated based on whether a match is identified satisfying matching criteria.
